Oregon and Southwest Washington's Finest Working K9 Teams

Personal Log (Lucian) -  February 2006

February's objectives continued with the puppy runaways.  But we made one big change. Mom started having me chase after complete strangers this month. This worked by having Mom hold me while this strange person runs away from me.

When I finally caught up with the strange person, I got the big play reward and loves. This chasing stuff, whether mom or a strange person,  is sure a fun game. Just love my kong!

I had my first training in the white stuff - boy it was at first cold on the toes, but was a real blast.  During this outing I got to meet some other people that my mom says belong to this group of dogs and their people who do this kind of stuff just because they love it.

My mom was pretty careful about exposing me to the other search dogs, waiting until I had all my shots (ouch - puuke ---)(*&)(&).

I did get to meet this prissy German Shepherd who seemed to know her SAR stuff, plus a bunch of other handlers. Wish I had pointy ears, I bet that is the only reason that GSD got so much attention.
